Today PG and GSG singers collaborated with St. Mary’s and Hale’s schools on their final concert. We spent the morning with St. Mary’s High Fidelity Choir preparing for the performance. We talk a lot in PG about the willingness to open ourselves and take up space and those narratives continued this week with St. Mary’s students—as we strove to sing in and with the body. Many remarked they felt inspired by PG to engage with fuller voices and become more expressive. What a transformative experience!

Lunch was good fun as girls we ate pizza, connected with others from St. Mary and played sport out on the green. The sun shone brightly and beautifully today.

We then rehearsed with both Hale School Senior Choir and The Voices, an additional St. Mary’s choir who joined in– concluding our rehearsal with Total Praise and teaching our friends a new song, Shumeyela.

Our girls shone brightly in the St. Mary and Hale School concert. They sang with poise, connection, and excellent balance. One week on tour helped singers integrate to one voice — we were so impressed with their musicking. The highlight was singing “For Good” for the two music teachers responsible for bringing us to Perth, Mrs. Taylor and Mrs. Chong. The entire Hale and St. Mary’s community has fully embraced our singers. What a gift.

Sunday will bring billet family time and a church service…
